MOUNDSVILLE -- Moundsville residents are facing major water issues Wednesday morning.
The problem began after a water break spilled nearly a million gallons of water.
The break happened at the corner of Third Street and Jefferson Avenue.
Workers tell WTRF.com the break happened after something went wrong when crews were back-filling a part of the new line.
According to water crews with the City of Moundsville, a private contractor had been working on separating storm from sanitary sewers.
Officials with the water department tell WTRF.com water service has been restored to all customers, but a 48 hour boil order will remain in effect until further notice.
